How To Hypnotize

Suggestibility Tests

As name implies, main purpose of suggestibility tests is establishing the level of suggestibility of hypnosis subject.

Suggestibility tests are especially convenient in stage hypnosis, as they allow you to determine which members of the audience are best for the show. Anyone can be hypnotized, however not all people will be able to achieve trance deepens and suggestibility levels required to make hypnosis show spectacular and entertaining, enough.

That is exactly why suggestibility tests should become crucial part of your routine.

You perform suggestibility tests, just after introducing yourself to the audience. This way you know from the beginning, who you will use for your show. Many beginners are concerned if they will be able to find any volunteers for their performance. But people that taught me these skills say, there is always a sufficient number of audience members willing to be hypnotized.

Suggestibility tests are great during stage hypnosis, but they prove to cause some issues in one on one hypnosis. Clearly, you don't have much choice when it comes to choosing a person you will hypnotize, but they have certain benefits even in such situations.

Main advantage of suggestibility tests is, for untrained person they look like a normal hypnosis. So, if you will perform suggestibility test on someone, his belief in your abilities will raise greatly. Of course if test will fail, you may end up in a situation, in which subject of hypnosis won't believe in your skills and you won't be able to hypnotize him.

The result of someone believing you possess remarkable hypnosis skills, is acknowledging the fact, you can hypnotize him. If someone is certain you are capable of hypnotizing anyone, he will unconsciously believe that you can hypnotize him also.

Before you decide to perform suggestibility test on someone during hypnosis session, you have to evaluate pros and cons of such a situation. If your client is a very hard minded person that doesn't believe in hypnosis, it may be a good idea to soften him up, by performing suggestibility test that takes advantage of human physique. This way you will increase his suggestibility and odds of inducing trance.
