How To Hypnotize

Subliminal Messages

By now you should be aware how to use your voice tone to amplify your messages. However this is just the beginning of what you can do simply by putting stress on different words, in the sentence.

The example from previous article, may seem like a simple hypnotic command you can find in any induction script. However when you take a closer look at this sentence, and evaluate each word in it, you notice the hidden power of it: "as you GO deeper INTO TRANCE." Now you should clearly see the covert instruction to "go into trance."

However it isn't that simple, if you will read this sentence with a plain voice, the message won't be delivered. The only way you can make it work, is by using your tonality, making these three words stand out. This is in short what we call a subliminal message.

When you take a second look at this sentence, all of this becomes too obvious. You may compare it to a magic tricks, most of them are very impressive, but once you discover how they work, they lose all of their glamour.

Some of you may think that something so simple, can't have any dramatic influence on anyone. However, you have to remember that subject of hypnosis isn't aware of what you are doing and effectiveness of this technique doesn't depend on conscious mind. It doesn't matter if hypnotized person realizes what you are doing, subliminal messages will still work.

Have you ever been in a room full of people, where everyone is talking with each other and while you are having a conversation with your friend, someone suddenly says your name and before you know it, you stop your conversation and look over to see what is going on.

If you would attempt to repeat this situation, trying to listen to everyone in the room, you would discover it is an impossible task. Your conscious mind is incapable to concentrate at so many things at once. But, your unconscious is able to monitor every word that is spoken around you and if anything that seems to be valuable to you comes up, it will direct your consciousness towards it.

If your subconscious is aware and hears everything that is happening around you, it also absorbs the sentence: "as you go deeper into trance." By putting emphasis on "go" and "into trance", your unconscious mind connects these three words creating and accepting a suggestion: "go into trance."

As you remember in on of the previous articles we discussed your inner guard called critical factor, that is responsible for what enters and gets processed by unconscious mind. So you may wonder why this suggestion is able to pass the critical factor without any red flags. Answer is very simple, because the sentence has already passed the guardian and the brains processor is the one that put together command "go into trance." And if something is able to get through critical factor it will be processed and followed.

Processor does its job of obeying anything that got through critical factor. However don't think it is all you need to do in order to induce trance, our brains aren't that simple. You can compare your subconscious to a very long pool, with the guardian at the one end and very deep down, end of the subconscious. You will achieve best results by planting your suggestions at the end of the subconscious, but by relaying only on these kind of simple tricks you won't do it.

Many times, when you use subliminal commands, you may have an impression that they have no effect and they don't work. But, it is just the matter of patience. Giving a subliminal command is like planting a seed, you need time before something will grow out of it.
