I am not a big fan of traditional hypnosis, as it has no application in real world situations. After all I don't want clients collapsing during business presentations or falling into trance while I show them a new house.
My area of expertise is definitely Conversational Hypnosis, but it is impossible to fully disconnect traditional hypnosis and conversational hypnosis. That is why during my journey to mastery in the first one I had to become good at the other.

You have to be aware there is a great difference between reading about hypnosis and actually performing it. A lot of people think that after reading 3 books about inducing trance they have all the information and skills needed to hypnotize someone. It is a mistake, without practice, this information is worthless, and I really mean it.
Until you experience how it feels to put someone into trance, lead him through it and then bring him back, you aren't even a newbie. As simple as traditional hypnosis is, to achieve mastery in it you have to spend a lot of time developing something called calibration.
Calibration is a part of everything we do, it is an ability to adapt to fast changing unexpected situations. Very often people that are starting out, have trouble inducing trance because they fallow hypnotic scripts very methodically. This is a common mistake, after all humans aren't robots, so you can't expect we will all behave the same way. A good hypnotist needs to expect and control every occurrence that can happen.
I would like to conclude this introduction with a little note. I've learned this information from some of the most esteemed hypnotists in the world.
