In this article we will discuss biofeedback loops, which are important for further enhancement of your hypnotic skills. Biofeedback loops are one of the basic techniques used to deepen the trance of hypnotized person. They are especially handy in environments with a lot of random hard to predict distractions, therefore mastering their application is mandatory.

To create a biofeedback loop, you have to establishing current physical state of hypnotized person, describe it and follow the description with a suggestion. This way you create an association between a physical state, which is always true, and a suggestion. Your mind is following the first part describing your current state and then when it encounters suggestion, it starts to adapt and follow your commands. I am aware this may sound a bit complicated at first, but let me give you an example.

Let's assume person you are trying to hypnotize is laying on a couch. To create a biofeedback loop, you have to first describe their body position and then connect this description with a suggestion, using linguistic bridges. The mind of your subject won't question the description, as it can immediately verify it is true. As brain of hypnotized person gets into the habit of following what you say, it also obeys your suggestions.

Here is an example from the previous article: "While you are lying down on the couch, you go deeper and deeper into trance." From there you follow with similar suggestions, observing any kind of physical changes in subject of hypnosis and reacting to them with appropriate biofeedback loops. This is a very good and simple method to induce deep trance. It is perfect if you are a beginner and don't have any kind of hypnotic script to relate to, as you just watch and describe what is happening in front of you.

Biofeedback loops are especially useful, when something unexpected happens during hypnosis. Any kind of out of ordinary noise, vibration or other disturbance, can cause the hypnotized person to lose focus from your voice and leave trance. That is why, you always use such occurrences for your advantage, getting subject of hypnosis deeper into trance. For example: "As you hear the noise of power drill, drilling on your left, you go deeper and deeper into trance."
